Sierra Leonean Judge Sentences Notorious Cocaine Transporter To 20 Years In Jail

One of the presiding judges on the September Criminal Session Call Over of the High Court of Sierra Leone, Hon Justice Fatmatta Bintu Alhadi on Tuesday 26th September, 2018, sentenced Gozie Udoka Isaac a Nigerian national to twenty years (20) imprisonment.

This follows after the accused was been found guilty on four counts for transporting 20.797 Kilogram ( 50 Pellets) Cocaine into Sierra Leone from Brazil on the 23rd October, 2017 through Air Maroc.

The accused was convicted on Section 7b, 7c and Section 8a of the National Drugs Control Act 2008.

Delivering her sentence, Hon Justice Fatmatta Bintu Alhadi said “Sierra Leone is not a soft target for Cocaine and anyone caught will be accordingly dealt with”.
