The Sierra Leone Police wishes to announce for the information of the general public that Limited vacancies exist for recruitment into the SLP for the rank of Constable including Specialist/ Skilled workers like Motor drivers, electricians, vehicle mechanics etc.
√ Be a Sierra Leonean
√ Be of good character and without any criminal record or pending criminal charges
√ Not be less than 18 years or above 35 years at the time of recruitment
√ Be physically, mentally and medically fit for policing
√ Be ready to undergo basic police training and other forms of training
√ Be able to pass the police professional entrance examination
√ Female candidates must not be pregnant at recruitment and during the entire training period
Note: Any applicant who engages in any corrupt activity shall be disqualified, arrested and prosecuted. The recruitment shall reflect gender, ethnic and regional balance of the people of Sierra Leone and is specifically for applicants with WASSCE or NCTVA.
Educational Qualification for the rank of Constable
All applicants must possessed a minimum academic qualification of Three (3) credits (A1_ C6) at WASSCE including English and Mathematics or Four (4) credits at NCTVA.
Educational Qualification for Specialist/ Skilled workers
All applicants must have attempted WASSCE/ NCTVA or its equivalent.

√ Application forms are accessed on line at www.police.gov.sl
√ All application forms must be SIGNED, DATED and STAMPED by the Director Human Resource Management
√ Completed Application forms shall be submitted at the Human Resource Directorate, Police Headquarters, George Street Freetown or to the Regional Human Resource Partners in Makeni, Port Loko, Bo and Kenema. LUCs at distanced towns from the regional headquarters are asked to receive completed application forms for onward submission to the regional headquarters.
All applicants with WASSCE result (s) are to submit photo copies of their result (s) together with a SEALED West African Examination Council (WAEC) scratch card.
Applicants are required to submit original copies of their birth certificate, or certified affidavit in lieu of birth certificate.
Deadline for the submission of completed application forms is 31st October 2018 @ 1800 hours.
